Birthday Parties

The Naperville Area Humane Society (NAHS) offers fun-filled two-hour parties for children. Parties include a craft and/or game, as well as an educational talk with a behind-the-scenes tour of the shelter! A Party Coordinator will help lead the party activities and conduct the tour.

The children will be able to take photos and interact with our shelter animals depending on the availability of appropriate animals and comfort level/behavior of party guests. And, of course, there is time for treats, presents and singing Happy Birthday!

  • Families are welcome to bring their own food, beverages and decorations. We do have some animal themed decorations you are welcome to use.

  • Parties are scheduled year round by appointment only. Scheduling depends on our Party Coordinator’s availability. Dates do fill up quickly, so we ask that you schedule your party at least one month in advance

  • Space is limited to 10 children and no more than 15 people total.

My favorite part of having my birthday at NAHS was that we got to meet all the animals and learn their names. I loved that I got to cuddle with a kitten. All my friends had fun meeting and playing with the animals.

Thank you so much for all you did for Megan’s birthday party. She had a great time and so did her friends. More importantly, I know everybody learned something about being kind to animals.
